26may12:0016:00Classic bikes at the Gliding Centre, LashamDave Betteridge would like members to join him for a classic motorcycle run to the Gliding Heritage Centre at Lasham on the 26th May. The aim is to arrive around mid-day, have lunch, then a bit of a talk, a film show and then transfer to the Heritage Centre about half a mile away. There will be guided tours around the 2 hangers full of vintage gliders, then back for coffee and a ride home. They are opening especially for us (normally Sundays). It would be great if some members were just passing the gate!!! The air field is off the A339 Alton to Basingstoke road, 2nd turning right. From Alton, half a mile, look for an opening on your right, car park on the left. The café should be open by then. This is a charity run so a donation would be expected.
