26mar10:0014:00Mystery RunAhead of our mystery run on Saturday 26th March, kindly arranged by John Wise, it is only fair to give you a few clues in preparation. As in the March magazine, the run will start at Kidmore Lane car park. Arrive from 1000 for the customary walk around and chat. Please note that if you have not received a March magazine, then you have probably not renewed and are no longer a member. If you can, please bring a picnic, or there will be time to buy a few supplies from the local Denmead shops. Our destination is the highest point on the South Downs at 271m about sea level. There is a car park which charges £2.00 for an hour and £3.50 for 2 hours with payment on exit by card only. The first 20 minutes are free. There is a single loo. Of course, the main reason for visiting are the stunning panoramic views. The forecast for Saturday is good. If picnics are not your thing, nearby, but not within walking distance, are a few country pubs with good menus and plenty of outside seating (and more than one loo). The Hampshire Hog on the old A3 and the Red Lion in Chalton are recommended but other venues are available. 10:00 - 14:00(GMT-11:00)
