Event Details

An opportunity to pass on some unwanted items and gain some new items to replace them.

A charity auction of members’ items with a minimum 10% of the hammer price going to our chosen charities. The Auctioneer will be our own John Wise MBE. This is an opportunity to pass on your items for others to enjoy and gain some new items while having some fun at the same time. Motoring items are preferred but are not essential. So that we can assess the number of lots, please register your interest by contacting John Stoodley: events@shvps.org.uk
On arrival members are requested to register their lots, including a very brief description and the % going to charity (a minimum of 10%), at the registration desk. Members will be given lot numbers and these will be linked to the individual membership numbers.
The lot numbers will be stuck to or placed against the items and also given to the seller.
Members are requested to group together similar lots e.g. magazines, small books and tools to reduce the total number of lots for the evening.
Members wishing to bid are requested to use the cards provided to write their membership numbers on which are then used to bid. The winning bid (hammer price) and membership number will be recorded against the lot.
At the half time break and at the end of the auction, the buyers go to the registration table to confirm who to pay (the seller) the full hammer price for the lot.

A cash float is available on the night so that change can be provided.
Any items remaining unsold must be removed by the sellers. SHVPS cannot take responsibility to clear any unsold items.
