25feb10:1514:30Run to Sky Park FarmFor Sunday 26th February we have a run to a new venue, Sky Park Farm between Petersfield and Rogate. This is a family friendly venue with a working deer farm, a walk through the deer park to the river Rother, an adventure park for children, a well-stocked farm shop, an indoor area for hot drinks and cakes and the grazing rooms restaurant area. Provision has been made for us to display our vehicles in a reserved area and receive a group tour of the park with the Head Ranger. This is provided without charge. The full tour is 60 minutes. If this is too long for you, don’t worry as it is possible to return to the visitor centre at any time. On arrival, hot drinks and cakes are available to buy. For anyone choosing to enjoy a Sunday lunch, the Grazing Rooms have a good choice of food ranging from £12 to £26 for a main course. Vegan options are also offered. Last lunch orders are at 1500. For the Grazing Rooms, booking would be essential to avoid disappointment on the day. Call 01730 634634. The event is booked from 10:30 with our group tour taking place at 12:00. Some members may prefer to go direct and others may prefer to meet at Kidmore Lane car park in Denmead, PO7 6JZ. For those at Denmead, I will provide a direct route along the B2150, A32 and A272. Directions: Leaving Petersfield on the old A3 take the A272 to Rogate. After just over 1 mile you will pass a commercial vehicle business on your right and immediately take the right turn. Sky Park is signposted. Cross over the River Rother and Sky Park is on the right. The post code is GU31 5PT. We should leave Denmead promptly at 10:15 to arrive at Sky Park at around 10:45.
